Extension and refurbishment of the Wolfgang-Kubelka-Realschule Schondorf

The Wolfgang-Kubelka-Realschule in Schondorf am Ammersee was extended with a modern, three-storey building and a separate three-court sports hall sunk in the ground by up to four metres. The new building includes classrooms on the upper floors and a spacious refectory with dining hall, kitchen and ancillary rooms on the ground floor, and is connected to the existing building by an elevated two-storey glazed bridge. The 50-year-old existing main building was modernised for energy efficiency and fire safety. All the work was carried out without interrupting teaching.
