Waldschlösschen bridge over the Elbe in Dresden is in position

On 19th December 2010, the central section of the Waldschlösschen bridge was moved into its final position over the River Elbe.

To do this, the 140 meter long bridge section weighing 1800 tons was raised by 10 meters and then moved 195 meters forwards and 54 meters to the side. Two pontoons in the Elbe were used.

Thanks to the carefully thought-out installation technology which was controlled by highly qualified personnel, it was possible to take advantage of the correct water level in the Elbe during the positioning process, despite the cold weather and snow.

As the leading partner of a consortium with ICL, KREBS+KIEFER was responsible for construction supervision services for the new bridge section.
