The school is part of a building complex which also includes a daycare center, a school sports hall and an indoor swimming pool. The school will accommodate around 520 children in five classes per grade level. A daycare center for children aged from 0 to 6 completes the educational and childcare facilities available on the site.

The three long buildings have two floors at most and were designed by MGF Architekten GmbH. They are grouped around a schoolyard with outdoor sports facilities and form a small campus. All the buildings are made of concrete and meet the standards for passive buildings. The design features arcades from which the upper floors are accessed.

KREBS+KIEFER Ingenieure, Darmstadt is responsible for checking the structural design of the entire complex and for construction supervision. The checking engineer is Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Günter Ernst.
