KREBS+KIEFER on The 30th FIDIC International Contract Users‘ Conference in London

KREBS+KIEFER International this year again was attending the FIDIC International Contract Users‘ Conference in London from 5th to 6th December 2017.

This year’s conference was special, on the one hand celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Users’ Conference in London and on the other hand the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) has crucially updated its Conditions of Contract from 1999 and launched the new FIDIC Suite of Contracts 2017 during the event.

The main changes of the FIDIC Suite of Contracts have been presented and explained by FIDIC experts, engineers and specialist lawyers from around the world. The changes among others provide more clarity in regard with Variations and Claims, however these changes also imply higher degree of actions to be taken and a more sound knowledge of the Parties and also of the Engineer, who subject to FIDIC Conditions of Contract, fulfills a central role in supervising the Works and administering the Contract.

Attending this event confirms KREBS+KIEFER’s standard continously gaining latest information about the FIDIC theme at first hand in order to apply it from now on.
