DGNB e.V. is a not-for-profit association founded in 2007 by specialists from the construction and real estate industries. In accordance with its statutes, the DGNB promotes solutions and methods of planning and using buildings that create environmentally friendly and resource-saving living space.

The DGNB acts as a platform for knowledge transfer, provides planning tools for the practical implementation of sustainable construction and has developed a catalog of criteria for sustainability certification for buildings.

This year, together with the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (BMVBS), the DGNB started awarding the jointly developed seal of approval for sustainable construction. So far the award has been given (among others) to the Federal Environment Agency building in Dessau, the structural design of which was produced by KREBS+KIEFER. The „Europe Plaza" project in Stuttgart, which is currently being supervised by KREBS+KIEFER, has received preliminary certification in gold.

We intend to make use of the DGNB's network of competence from the construction and real estate industries to advise and support our clients on sustainability issues in the planning of buildings.
