German Construction Technology Day 2017 with KREBS+KIEFER

Dialogue. Innovation. Quality.

Under these inspirations, between 26 and 27 April 2017, around 1,500 visitors took part in the Congress of the German Concrete and Construction Technology Association (DBV) in Stuttgart. KREBS+KIEFER was also actively involved again this year.

In the International Congress Center Stuttgart (ICS) of the Messe Stuttgart at the airport, various talks in 13 specialist sessions reflected the current spectrum of construction technology. Dr (in Engineering) Hans-Gerd Lindlar, Managing Director of KREBS+KIEFER, chaired the conference on high-rise, industrial and commercial construction.

Dr (in Engineering) Hans-Gerd Lindlar, Managing Director of KREBS+KIEFER, chaired the conference on high-rise, industrial and commercial construction.

Professor Dr (in Engineering) Jan Akkermann, a professor at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and also managing director of KREBS+KIEFER, gave a report to the auditorium of about 600 people about the completion of the ship hoist at the Three Gorges Dam in China, which is the largest of its kind in the world.

The other congress participants from KREBS+KIEFER used the supporting program for a wide range of conversations in the technical exhibition, which was loosely conceived as a marketplace.

KREBS+KIEFER is one of two engineering companies which belong to the regular membership of DBV. KREBS+KIEFER understands its contribution to the association primarily as a link between the building contractors, the planners and the construction industry.

The participation in the Construction Technology Day 2017 by representatives of the KREBS+KIEFER branch offices in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Freiburg from the host region, as well as from Berlin, Erfurt, Cologne, Mainz and Munich underline this understanding.

Professor Dr (in Engineering) Jan Akkermann was elected to the board of the association at the previous day’s Members’ Meeting. He assumes this function from Dr (in Engineering) Hans-Gerd Lindlar, the chairman of the association, who was warmly thanked for his long-term commitment to DBV by Klaus Pöllath (Diploma in Engineering)(Ed. Züblin AG).
