After 26 months of construction, the largest single investment (180 million € construction costs) in the history of Europa-Park was completed. Over the past two years, the three hectare water world has been the largest private construction site in Baden-Württemberg.

The first thoughts about the construction of a water park had been there for over 20 years, as Roland Mack explained in his speech. The new, integrated wave pool is a further part of this attraction and can assert itself as the largest one in Germany. In addition, the water park is connected to the hotel "Krønasår", which was built at the same time. Up to 5000 visitors are expected daily throughout the year. A further extension is also planned, which should increase the number of visitors to up to 8,000 a day. With the construction of the new hotel and swimming pool, 300 new jobs have been created.

In his speech, Baden-Württemberg's Minister of Justice Guido Wolf praised the good cooperation between the builders and emphasized that it is quite possible to complete construction projects on schedule in Germany.
