The Kienlesberg Bridge in Ulm was awarded the prize in the category "Vehicle Bridges" at the Structural Awards 2019 of the British Institution of Structural Engineers (ISE).

The bridge, designed by the planning association KREBS+KIEFER / Knight Architects convinced the jury: "The structure reflects the enormous advantages of interdisciplinary cooperation between engineers and architects".

On 15 November 2019, the prize was accepted by Bartlomiej Halaczek on behalf of the planning community at a ceremony in London.

The 270 m long public transport, pedestrian and cyclers bridge spans a complex track field at Ulm main station and connects the city centre with the science city located to the northwest.

The flow of force as a result of geometry and function is reflected in the typological design of the bridge. The engineering structure was recently included in the yearbook "Ingenieurbaukunst 2020" of the Federal Chamber of Engineers.
