On 11th June 2014, 22 colleagues from Krebs und Kiefer Darmstadt took part in the world’s largest inter-company race, the JPMorgan Corporate Challenge in Frankfurt am Main. This year, a total of over 71.735 runners representing over 2.700 companies from all over Germany participated in the race.

The race event, covering a distance of 5,6 km, has been firmly established in the K+K sporting calendar for years and is a great opportunity to share a sporting and entertaining evening with colleagues. Even traveling together to Frankfurt by bus and overcrowded local train and changing in the new European Central Bank building was an experience.

After a long wait in the crowd, the starting gun was fired exactly on time at 19:30 and the K+K team in the company’s own kit set out on the route. The race route – right through Frankfurt’s city center – was lined by thousands of spectators, so that despite the warm summer temperatures, everyone was motivated to do his or her very best.

None of our team members was among the fastest runners, but this did not affect the relaxed mood at all: the team spirit was fantastic before, during and after the race. The evening was rounded off by a visit to a Frankfurt pub, after which the team returned to Darmstadt just before midnight in another very full train.
