Railway Overpass Eimeldingen

Fixed position at 250 km/h

The Deutsche Bahn rail network will be more efficient, with shorter travel times in goods and passenger transport, with the expansion and new construction of the Karlsruhe-Basel line. At Eimeldingen, the high-speed line crosses the Kander River and the country road K6326 over an 80-metre long prestressed concrete bridge.

On behalf of the Federal Railway Authority, KREBS+KIEFER tested the calculations and plans for the structure and temporary structures, such as the falsework, excavation pits and bored piles, to secure the railway embankment. The inspection engineers monitored the work that was decisive for the stability of the bridge on site, such as the prestressing of the bridge.
