Banja Luka Motorway - Doboj Bosnia and Herzegovina
Major connecting road
The motorway between Banja Luka and Doboj is one of the largest infrastructure projects in South-Eastern Europe. The objective of the EU funded expansion of the main roads of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a better connection of the federal states and the neighbouring countries, as well as the discharge of the regional road network.
Since April, 2014, KREBS+KIEFER of “Republic of Srpska Motorways” has been involved in construction supervision, design review and technical implementation assistance of the section Banja Luka – Prnjavor. With an order volume of 159 MEUR KREBS+KIEFER copes with additional project management tasks as well as the cost monitoring and dispatch of monthly reports for the Client.
Employer and Contractor have agreed upon a FIDIC-YellowBook- Contract, which is a unit price contract arranged on the basis of functional tendering.
On the approximately 35-kilometre route, viaducts, among other things, with a total length of 1.8 kilometres, several bridges, underpasses, tunnels and culverts can be seen. A construction excavation of nearly five million cubic metres is estimated.
