Bistrica Hydroelectric Plant Bosnia-Herzegovina

Life on Energy

The project is part of an extensive raft of measures for the improvement of energy supply in Serbia. By building small hydroelectric plants around 150 gigawatt hours are generated yearly from the Bistrica and Janjina rivers, meeting the needs of the Foca and Cajnice municipalities. KREBS+KIEFER was charged with the preliminary design of four hydroelectric plants as part of a joint venture.

This included a feasibility study and an environmental impact statement, as well as spatial development, design, application and implementation planning. On the basis of these analyses and estimates the team produced documents for the invitation to tender of the tasks to be carried out in creating the plant. KREBS+KIEFER also led the project for the preliminary design phase.
