On 15 October 2017, Professor Günter Ernst celebrated his 70th birthday. With 48 years of service at KREBS+KIEFER, 23 of which have been as Managing Director, he is undoubtedly one of the most important figures within our company. Professor Ernst is also celebrating his 20-year anniversary as a test engineer for building statics.

In addition to his outstanding professional life as an engineer, which was celebrated on the occasion of his 65th birthday, Professor Ernst is also well known as a corporate personality who has been involved in shaping the KREBS+KIEFER Group in the many and varied phases of an engineering company. It is thanks to his significant involvement in projects, and acquisition and organisation, that KREBS+KIEFER occupies the important position it does today in the German construction industry.

In his 20 years of working as a test engineer for building statics with the, in Germany, very rare combination of all three disciplines, metal, solid, and wooden structures, Professor Ernst successfully carried on the tradition of the “four eyes principle” in the spirit of the founding fathers of the company, Professor Mehmel, Professor Krebs and Dr Kiefer.

As a test engineer, he is currently responsible for outstanding projects such as the TaunusTurm in Frankfurt, the FAIR accelerator facility in Darmstadt and the replacement for the Schierstein Bridge crossing the Rhine.

Dear Professor Ernst, everyone at KREBS+KIEFER wishes you continued good health and creativity and much joy with your family!
